Man, I’ve been late posting all the new ish in town. I’ve yet to post shots of the Hyperdunk Phils as well as other special pieces worth mentioning. Last August 28, Adidas Philippines in collaboration with Bunker, the distributor of exclusive and premiere designer shoes in the country unveiled two limited edition collaboration sneakers, the adidas Superstar X Xlarge and the Stan Smith X Maharishi (ey my bunker peeps, sorry for lifting the piece off the news site. work is mad hectic yo!)

Adidas Superstar X Xlarge.

It all began in November 1991. The first X-Large store opened on Vermont Ave. where a scene had already been developing around the store location. It was a combination of skateboarding, hip-hop, art and whatever was happening in the area at the time.

As the ethos and direction of the brand continued to evolve, the store began to present a unique style and perspective – a representation of utilitarian-wear as fashion as opposed to everyday wear.

Blending the aforementioned skateboarding, hip-hop, and art culture, X-Large has created an original fashion style out of the mix.

Still going strong after 15 years, X-Large remains an innovator and pioneer in street wear.

Adidas Stan Smith X Maharishi.

Since its birth in 1994, Maharishi has evolved into one of the UK’s most influential designer labels, offering distinctive men’s, women’s and children’s collections available from a range of exclusive fashion retailers globally. Founded by Creative Director, Hardy Blechman, Maharishi carries a strong ethos of respect for nature while utilizing the latest technology.

Blechman, whose former experience lay in the international military and industrial clothing surplus trade, started Maharishi by producing hemp and other natural fibre clothing as well as recycling work-wear and military surplus.

Maharishi prides itself on not conforming to mainstream fashion trends, placing emphasis on its own points of inspiration and the natural progression of excellent quality, perfect fit and original design.

BOTH PAIRS ARE AVAILABLE NOW AND IN LIMITED PAIRS. COME EARLY.
I did see the XLarge Superstar over at the Originals Concept Store at Trinoma over the weekend but it’s always better to buy the shoe at Bunker. :)
