Although we are experiencing the hottest of days, trends till tend to lean more on the highs for kicks. And over the last couple of years, I don’t want to say it was because of the Yeezys, that we’re seeing brands roll out the highest of high tops. I swung by the Originals Concept store over at Trinoma last weekend and saw these three. As you can see, there are a couple of other high tops in the background- mostly Forums- but let me focus on these three kicks for my High Top top picks.
The first shoe is the one you see on top, the Fortitude Mid. The shoe comes in two colorways, though they only released this one here. Is it a training shoe or is it a hiking shoe? No one really knows. But it definitely brings in a bit of old with the new. Premium quality leathers and suede on the upper, molded EVA midsole and baseball-type stitching. Interesting?

Here’s the Forum that’s also part of the TF Pack (Transform, right?). We’ve shown you the Stan Smith and Superstar TF already. Not a lot of transforming here, but it definitely gives you that Jordan “shroud” to cover the laces. You can unfasten this strap and go with your regular Forum look. What’s cool here is that the strap has a zippered pocket on the flip side. Kinda reminiscent of those ‘Roos back in the day.
Last of the three is the AdiRise. I’m lovin’ the grey colorway, perfect lo-fi look. I’d like to believe your ankles are safe with this one. What I don’t like here is the big ass tongue. But hey, someone’s gonna rock it with the tongue hangin’ out, so who am I to complain? Anyways, drop by the adidas Originals Concept Store today. I heard the ATAT Forum and Tie Fighter Nizzas also dropped this weekend.
