2017’s been all about the Sneaker Exchange program of adidas Consortium. We’ve been getting amazing product out of the collaboration of two retailers you wouldn’t expect would work together. This Wednesday, we get a taste of the latest set from the exchange. Japan’s United Arrows and Italy’s Slam Jam come together for a Campus + Gazelle combination. As a last hurrah for the summer, the two stores come with a beach/poolside theme with the classic silhouettes.

The Campus is done with 100% organic cotton, with terry cloth inner lining, pretty much like a beach towel. The shoe is also complemented with a pair of laces that say¬† Slam Jam and United Arrows & Sons in Japanese text. The Gazelle on the other end uses Alcantara, a suede-like material created way back in ’72 in a collaboration between 2 other companies based out of their respective countries. The more familiar earth tones adorn the Gazelle with the same organic terry cloth found on the shoe’s lining. adidas replaced the Gazelle’s tongue with the ribbed version, also found on the adidas Samba. Their respective logos are found on the heel tabs of each shoe to complete the collaboration.

The United Arrows x Slam Jam adidas Consortium Sneaker Exchange program drops this Wednesday, exclusively at Commonwealth. The pack will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
