Less weight, more speed. adidas’ adiZero line is all about providing maximum performance with the least amount of weight. After the successful release of the adiZero F50 Runner last year, they now release the 2nd edition. “The less weight you have on your feet while running, the faster you can be and that is what our lightweight adiZero products are all about,” explains Andrew Barr, Product Manager of adiZero. “Some of the fastest athletes in the world such as Yohan Blake and Veronica Campbell Brown are winning gold medals in adiZeros and now the adiZero F50 Runner 2 brings this lightweight concept to everybody who needs the perfect shoe for training, whatever the sport.”
adidas’ key tech can be found on the F50 Runner 2. The new SPRINTFRAME platform breaks the traditional shoe construction but does not compromise comfort and stability while allowing the user optimum forefoot propulsion. The TORSION SYSTEM is also integrated into the SPRINTFRAME, which allows independent movement of fore- and rear foot. The upper uses SPRINTWEB, the same material used on the Crazy Light. This lightweight mesh gives the user maximum comfort, support and breathability. The shoe also features full forefoot adiPRENE®+ which propels the forefoot for an improved toe-off. The shoe includes a new tendon outsole design which increases the grip offroad and allows for perfect transition on the road and also contains extended FORMOTION™ which reduces the stress on the body during the transition phase by adapting to the foot’s natural movement.
The adiZero F50 Runner 2 is now available and retails for 5,695 php for both men and women at the following stores: adidas, Planet Sports, Toby’s, RUNNR, Sole Academy, Sports Central, Olympic Village, Proline, Athlete’s Foot, Sports Town, MJ46, and SM malls and Department Stores nationwide.
